Role Overview

As an Editing Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, engaging, and optimized video content for a variety of clients. You’ll lead a team of editors, coordinate with content strategists, and ensure seamless execution of video production workflows.

Your role is critical in delivering content that performs—whether it’s a high-paced gaming video, a cinematic brand showcase, or an engaging lifestyle vlog.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing & Content Optimization

  • Ensure dynamic pacing, storytelling, and motion graphics to maximize engagement.
  • Maintain brand consistency, following client-specific styles and preferences.
  • Manage color grading, sound design, and visual effects to enhance production quality.
  • Approve final edits before publishing, ensuring all content meets platform-specific standards.
2. Trend Monitoring & Content Strategy
  • Stay up-to-date with editing trends, industry standards, and platform algorithm updates.
  • Research competitor content and implement new editing styles to improve performance.
  • Analyze audience data and recommend content optimizations (formatting, length, engagement hooks).
3. Client & Team Coordination
  • Work closely with content strategists, thumbnail designers, and video editors.
  • Understand each client’s branding, niche, and audience preferences to align edits with their style.
  • Lead a team of editors, providing creative direction, feedback, and quality control.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects, maintaining high production standards.

4. A/B Testing & Performance Analysis

  • Implement A/B testing on video edits to optimize retention and engagement.
  • Work with the analytics team to review video performance and iterate on successful formats.
  • Optimize video intros, hooks, and pacing based on audience engagement metrics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in professional video editing & content production.
  • Strong knowledge of Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and motion graphics tools.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects or clients at the same time.
Understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audience psychology in video editing.
  • Ability to adapt to different editing styles, from cinematic corporate videos to fast-paced YouTube content.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage a team efficiently.
  • Preferred but not required: Experience working with YouTube creators, digital content agencies, or media production companies.

Preferred Qualifications
